Lesson 15          / æ /
Say “c---a---t” without /k/ and /t/ sounds for the letter “a”.

Say “an” when you stand up.
Say “an” when you fry an egg in a pan.
Say “an” when you drop a can and it clanks.
Say “an”  when you build a sandcastle.
Say “ap”  when you wear a cap.
Say “ap”  when you see a bird flap its wings.



Words with the letter “a + r” may have / ɑ: (r) / or / ə (r)/ speech sound.

Add in the words:
