The  letter clusters “ere, ier, ea, io” has the speech sound.

It is “ere” to say, “Here you are!”

Say “ier” if your dog is fierce.

It is “ia” if you say, “We cannot see bacteria without a microscope.”

Say“ion” if you have an opinion. 

It is “ion” to say, “There are millions and billions of stars in the sky. ”

Say “ion” if you have the smell of onion.
